In conjunction with the huge consumer interest in using edible indigenous plants, Helix Australia has identified some of our Waxflower varieties that display very exciting flavour profiles.
To date our Waxflower has been used in a number of commercial Gins, craft beers and also used as a fresh leaf by discerning chefs who love the unique lemon/citrus flavours. We currently market waxflower leaf in a variety of forms including fresh leaf, dry leaf (tea) and freeze dry powder. We are also trialling using some innovative extraction processes to obtain oil/essences for application in the commercial beverage industry.
In addition, we have partnered with Tucker Bush Plants in the rebranding of our edible wax as Jambinu Zest for the home gardener market
